This is a survey course designed to provide information about Vietnam and her
culture, which includes historical background, social structure, language, religion,
education, literature, customs and traditions. Emphasis is placed on the differences
between American and Vietnamese thoughts and values in home and society. The
course will consider race relations between Vietnamese and Americans.
